The Memorial Garden is a special landmark in our City, honoring fallen heroes of our community.
Originally it was dedicated to John Bleeker, Hammon Sadler, and Morris Shipley who lost their lives in World War II while protecting our country. On Valentine’s Day in 1994, two Police Officers, Captain Michael Tracy and Sergeant Tom Vanderpool, were killed while on City business by a gunman at a local hotel. Their heroism is also memorialized in this garden.
It is a beautiful and quiet place that has fallen into disrepair through neglect over the years.
