City Hall Median
The Civic Center area in Malaga Cove houses the City Hall, Police Department, Fire Department and PV Homes Association in one complex. In 2019, the PVE Foundation worked with local landscapers, the Parklands Committee and the City of PVE to create a more beautiful City Median area.
With this being a highly visible area of our community, it was determined that this would be a good first project to introduce the work of the Foundation to the Community. We were proud to accomplish this work during the COVID shutdown and after a long drought. This area now provides provide color, beauty and a drought-friendly solution to this neglected area.
Designed and installed an environmentally friendly irrigation systems and drought tolerant landscaping
Restored the original city sign which was created and donated by a local resident
Consolidated the couple of brown city signs and upgraded the banner posting board
Provide a solution with anticipation of proposed changes to the traffic flow
Started project in June 2020, Completed installation January 2021
July 9, 2020: Project plan was reviewed by the Parklands Committee. They provided recommendation for approval to move forward with the site preparation. We will be filing revised plans for the next meeting in September. Download and View Project Plan»
